The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), established in 1863, is a not-for-profit association representing more than 81,500 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services. Structured to work for its members, the AVMA acts as a collective voice for its membership and for the profession.

The Indiana Veterinary Medical Association(IVMA) was founded over 126 years ago!  It is the professional association representing the state's veterinarians and is dedicated to advancing organized veterinary medicine in Indiana.

The association is a significant information resource, both for its members and for those outside the profession. It is a nexus point for all the issues, factors, and organizations that will have an impact on Indiana's veterinarians.

The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) improves the health and welfare of cats by supporting high standards of practice, continuing education, and scientific investigation.

Cat Friendly Practice is an award presented by AAFP that signifies that we have undergone special scrutiny to be more accommodating to the particular needs of cats.  We value our feline patients distinct needs in both the physical environment of our practice and the way in which medical care is delivered.

Dr. Lyndsay Klemens is Crtified Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapist which is a professional membership group acting as the certifying agency for doctors who have undergone post-graduate animal chiropractic training. Members working together within their disciplines to expand and promote the knowledge and acceptance of animal chiropractic to their professions, the public and governments; locally, nationally and internationally.

TCVM & CVA (Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture)

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) has been practiced in China for over 2,000 years. TCVM includes certified veterinary acupuncture (CVA) and herbal medicine. Today, more than half of China's veterinary clinics offer acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicines on a routine basis. Yet in the United States such modalities are often viewed as "alternatives" to Western veterinary medicine. TCVM is gaining more and more recognition by traditional veterinary professionals. A number of veterinary schools such as Colorado State University, Tufts University and the University of Florida, offer acupuncture courses, as well as other TCVM modality tracks. In some veterinary medical teaching hospitals such as the University of Florida, TCVM is a clinical service available to clients and their pets or livestock.
