Commercial rodenticides (rat and mouse baits like Deacon and Tomcat) are a common finding in many household environments. Our canine and feline friends explore the world with their nose and mouth, sometimes putting them into close contact with things that can be very dangerous for them.
A common problem of both dogs and cats is a swelling of the ear flap called an Aural Hematoma. This occurs when a blood vessel in the ear flap ruptures and a swelling develops. Usually these are non-painful, but occasionally one will be very tender.
