Boarding Guidelines

For The Safety and of All Our Guests

All dogs must have current immunizations against rabies, distemper, parainfluenza, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvovirus, canine influenza, and kennel cough. They also need to have a heartworm test within the last twelve months and a fecal test for internal parasites within the last 6 months. If your pet has been vaccinated elsewhere please bring in proof of those vaccines. We cannot board aggressive dogs.

All cats must have current immunizations against rabies, feline distemper, rhinotracheitis, and calici virus.
They also need to have had a feline leukemia test within their lifetime and a fecal test for internal parasites within the last 12 months.

In addition to the vaccine requirements above, all pets will need to be free of all external parasites, such as fleas and ticks. Pets will be checked for these parasites and will be treated at the time of admission if needed.

All pets will have a nurse exam, temperature check, and weight check on admission and weight checks daily.

An emergency telephone number is required so that we can contact you if needed.

For Comfort and Ease of Stay

If your pet is here three nights or longer, we recommend they receive a bath on the day of dismissal at a
reduced rate ($5 off). Baths are generally given on the day of dismissal, requiring a pickup time after 2:00pm. Otherwise, dismissal time is between 11:00am and 5:30pm Monday thru Friday, and 9:00am – 11:30pm on Saturday.
We furnish all general needs of your pet such as food and water dishes and bedding. We use Hill’s Science Diet food. All we need is your pet. You may bring a favorite toy or blanket. We do our best to return any personal items, however we will not be held responsible for any misplaced or damaged items.

Expectations and Understanding

Be aware that your pet’s diet may have varied while away from home. They may have barked at the other
animals, the temperature and humidity may have been slightly different from your home. This can create
problems such as sore throats, tonsillitis, or diarrhea. We seek to prevent such problems, but you must
understand that these problems can develop.

Any pet that requires veterinary attention will receive it at our discretion and at the owner’s expense.
Attempts will be made to notify the owner at the emergency contact number. We feel it is incompetent and inhumane to board an animal and ignore something causing them to be in discomfort.

Any pet requiring medication will be charged an administration fee each day medication is required.

Your satisfaction and your pet’s well-being are our primary concern and is what we strive for. Keep in mind that your pet is in excellent care, so have fun and enjoy your trip.
