FELV Vaccine

Feline Leukemia is an autoimmune disease similar to leukemia to people. It weakens the animals immune system and can allow cancer cells to reproduce. It is spread through he saliva as well as other bodily fluids such as nasal secretions, urine and feces. So grooming, sharing litter boxes, and dishes can cause transmission. We do recommend the FELV vaccine that will prevent the disease for outdoor cats or cats at a high risk of exposure to the virus. The vaccine can be started at 9 weeks but MUST first have a negative FELV test before we give the vaccine. The vaccine requires one booster given 2-3 weeks later (earliest at 10 days, latest at 30 days)
