Cory Dehnart, DVM

Dr. Cory Dehnart’s love of pets and veterinary medicine started in grade school when he visited a veterinary hospital for the first time. From there he focused on science courses during high school and later graduated from Purdue Bachelor of Science and minor in biology. After studying veterinary medicine for a year in Grenada he returned to Purdue to complete his Doctorate.

From cleaning kennels, to answering phones, to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Dehnart has worked every position in a clinic and always had fun doing it. He is particularly interested in veterinary dermatology.

Pets

Currently Dr. Dehnart and his wife Lisa have two cats who were abandoned as kittens and a Lab Retriever/Great Dane mix trained as a therapy dog. Because of their mischievous cat Walter, they have to keep child-proof locks on all cabinets and keep an eye on their stove as he’s turned it on multiple times.

“Dermatology is one of the predominant reasons owner’s bring their pets to see a veterinarian and always provides an opportunity to treat their their discomfort and educate their owners.“
